Exercise Should Be Designed For Your Success

I’m pretty sure you’re convinced that exercise is good, so I won’t bore you with the benefits. But the “how-to” part of exercise is even more important in order to reach your goals.
From what I see from most people who exercise, they are lacking the “how-to’s.” It seems that most people just randomly pick and choose exercises based on either what’s easiest or what they’ve seen others do. Both of these approaches, in fact, can be dangerous, as you’ll see. Both can also lead to discouragement, failing to reach goals and ultimately giving up.
If this has been the way you choose to exercise then it’s time to take another. What you need is an exercise program specifically designed to take into account your orthopedic history, biomechanics and posture as well as your specific goals. (I emphasize specific because without your goals being specific, you’ll fall back into the trap of randomly picking and choosing exercises that feel good but don’t necessarily lead you to your goal).
When this individualized program design is not done, selecting exercises becomes your best guess. We all know people who’ve been exercising consistently only to not get results and thus quit or be forced to stop due to an injury. However this really shouldn’t be part and parcel with exercise -- if done correctly. So if you have a program designed for you with these things taken into account, you’ll truly be much more encouraged to stick with it and you’ll have a plan to follow that’ll be designed with your goals in mind and in a way that they’re not just a fantasy, but attainable... Of course, with a little hard work.
You may be thinking, “Well, Tyron that sounds great and all, and yeah that’s probably why I never stuck with it, but where do I get something like that?” A C.H.E.K Practitioner, registered kinesiologist or certified personal trainer is qualified to complete a full assessment and design an exercise or rehabilitation program for you. I recommend seeing this trainer for at least three to four sessions, in order to be certain that you completely understand how to carry out the exercises to get the designed and desired effect.
Also, a gym membership is not absolutely necessary, as a number of excellent exercises can be done with bodyweight, a few dumbbells, and a stability ball so you can follow your program at home. To find a C.H.E.K. Practitioner in your local area please visit www.chekinstitute.com/prac.cfm.
So really you can stick with it! Exercise can be purposeful and choosing the right way shouldn’t be a random guessing game. With the right help, proper planning and a little hard work you can attain your goals. Be proactive, find help, and make your goals reality.
