Dance into spring with a fresh fruit salsa, a perfect blend of sauciness intertwined with heated sweetness. Taste the fiery flavours that sway smoothly alongside bold fruits or vegetables. A sauce full of colour and zest, bursting into life as it touches your tongue.  Celebrate this spring, and create a salsa!

Salsas are easy to make. They can be served with a variety of dishes -- Mexican style or a simple plate of fish, chicken or pork. Here are a few simple salsa recipes which will create a sensation for many springtime meals.

Tomato Salsa
2 large fresh tomatoes, diced
¼ cup red onion, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded, minced
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
salt and pepper, to taste
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.

Mango, Black Bean & Mint Salsa
2 mangos peeled, pitted, cut into ¼” dice
3 green onions, chopped
½ red bell pepper, seeded, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 jalapeno pepper, seeds removed, chopped
2 tablespoons fresh mint, chopped
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Great with fish, chicken or taco chips.

Pineapple Salsa
2 cups pineapple peeled, cored and chopped into ¼” chunks
½ cup diced red onion
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded, and chopped
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 tablespoon honey
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
Salt and pepper to taste
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Great with pork.
